Wellness Theme
This year at 21CLHK we have a significant number of presentations on Wellness divided into two categories: School Wellness – all about classroom or whole school social/emotional wellness and secondly Personal Wellness – with a focus on the personal wellness of educators.
There is not a more important topic in education today!
School Wellness Presentations
In this presentation, I'll introduce how I and my students set up the VR integration system with various subjects in my school.
In this session, Greg will turn to Google to cherry pick aspects of the methodology they used to arrive at global domination and apply them to our world to achieve our goals as (physical) educators.

This session will provide a bit of background on affinity groups for LGBTQ+ students, tips to be an effective faculty advisor, as well as what researchers have uncovered about what GSA's actually do for schools, and why their power may be stronger than you think.
Now more than ever, teaching mindfulness in the classroom is a necessity. Our lives are busy, and we often find our thoughts buzzing over the past or worrying about the future. We need mindfulness because it teaches us to live in the present moment, enjoying and experiencing what’s in front of us.
In this keynote, teacher and award-winning author, Adrian Bethune, will explore what happiness and wellbeing mean and if these are skills we can actually teach students.
As our students approached our 11th month of the online/hybrid journey, I began looking for ways to unite students around a common project where students of various levels of English ability could participate in meaningful ways.
Be Priceless is an empowering, community-led, non-profit educational organisation that envisions a world where every child can be well and safe.
In this presentation I would discuss how wellbeing is central to working with young, EAL children.
Our digital technology narratives are threadbare, and no longer convey any genuine meaning about the way we use devices.
Personal Wellness Presentations

Tired of being controlled by your phone? Constantly pestered by your email? If you would like to pursue an intentional and healthy relationship with technology, both in the workplace and in your personal life, this is the session for you.
This session will take a slightly different perspective on self-care and focus on strategies to help teachers balance their workload to take care of themselves.
Developing an understanding of stories and how they are constructed can be challenging for young children.
Based on the recruiting experiences of two international school principals and synthesizing the ideas of Cal Newport’s thoughts on productivity, this session will give participants a behind-the-scenes glance at the international recruiting process in the 21st century
In this session, we will look into how we can reframe the way we look at our own mental health and how we can be more mindful.
