As an early career researcher and practitioner, I would like to share my findings of a Hong Kong-based published study with educators on the impact of COVID-19 on children with special educational needs and how the pandemic posed challenges for vulnerable learners and also some of the benefits for a minority of children with technology-based learning.

Participants will learn about effective but easy ways to choose words to teach, introduce those words to students, and reinforce those words, to ensure students retain their meaning and can use this new vocabulary appropriately across a variety of contexts.
