This presentation looks at how we can help students engage with AI appropriately through modeling and guidance within our daily lessons.

We live, and perpetuate, a world of neurotypical standards. Being a part of the minority of working Autistic adults, I constantly fight this battle. However, my AuDHD (Autism & ADHD) is what makes me a strong leader and teacher.

Are you interested in art for well-being, for processing emotions, developing a sense of calm or for helping students transition to new activities and spaces? I will share some short "brain break" type activities, therapeutic exercises, and well-being strategies that you can use for the most part with minimal time and basic resources.

This workshop empowers leaders and different stakeholders with the knowledge and tools to ethically and effectively integrate AI into their schools, fostering innovation while ensuring a responsible and informed community aligned with schools' commitment to excellence in education.

This presentation will delve into the best practices for this type of course, including skill-building, design process, mentorship, tools & equipment, while also highlighting some of the stories and product outcomes from our flagship design course at CIS.

2020 has represented the biggest experiment in home learning in history. As schools move back to in person instruction everyone is naturally asking - what lessons will we take from this period moving forward?

This highly interactive workshop will incorporate practical strategies to promote creativity with students when learning mathematics. Participants will be immersed in a social constructivist environment and walk away with resources to help their students to see the beauty of mathematics.

An Arduino board has a great potential: using the boards as relatively inexpensive tool to teach STEAM in classroom contexts, as well as an ideal measuring tool to perform engaging experiments with the smartphone.
