Raymond Mitchel M. Africa is an IB MYP Science and Design Educator. He is currently the coordinator for the MYP Personal Project and DP Creativity, Activity and Service. He is a Certified Educational Technology Expert and has been presenting in various speaking engagements in Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines and Hongkong. He received accolades, such as BETT Asia Leadership Award in Malaysia, Global Teacher Award in India, WSC Coach of the Year in the Philippines, and ISTE PLN Outstanding Educator of the Year in USA. He is a member of the National Geographic Educator, a Microsoft Innovative Educator Experts, Google Certified Educator, Apple Teacher, and HundrED Advisory Board. He is also an ambassador of various EdTech tools such as Alpha Squirrels, Kahoot, Seesaw, Flipgrid, and Quizlet, and an Edmodo Certified Trainer. Lastly, he is a TeachSDG Ambassador advocating for the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals with his project Youth Empowerment through Service.

This presentation will allow participants to gain the skills to critically assess technology tools to ensure they align with educational standards and curriculum goals, for educators to learn about the fundamental role technology plays in enhancing learning experiences, rather than replacing traditional teaching methods, and for teachers to learn how to identify and select technology tools that complement and enhance their teaching methods and learning outcomes.
