Heidi learned early in her career that collaborating with her colleagues about how to approach the challenges of teaching held the key to improving her practice and student learning experiences. Those years shaped her deep respect for professional educators and the power of developing their practices together. Heidi has led professional development for teachers and leaders in large and small school districts in the United States, in US Department of Defense schools overseas, and in international schools. Partnerships with external providers and university professors led her back to school where she earned a Ph.D in mathematics education with a focus on instructional leadership.
