Since the advent of the personal computer there has been interest in the potential to learn about, and with technology. Even before the pandemic, the  framework of “blended” learning became a popular shorthand way to talk about teaching with technology as it captures the idea of bringing the best of face to face instruction with the affordances of technology. The pandemic has impacted on the importance of blended learning and made it even more relevant as all educators (and students) now have experience with both fully face to face learning and fully online

In this session, we will hear from Dr. John Tsang, Founder of Esperanza, a  Hong Kong based non profit that is seeking to promote innovation in Hong Kong’s education ecosystem. John is the former Financial Secretary for Hong Kong and offers a big picture view of what blended learning can look like if the various players from education, government and industry can work together.

Following that we will hear from a panel of EdTech startups, and educators who will explore some key questions around the current and future of course of blended learning
