Are we in it together? – The shared responsibility of wellbeing
In this interactive full-day workshop, Justin Robinson and David Bott – Directors of The Wellbeing Distillery (TWD) and global leaders in the field of wellbeing education – will guide school leaders and educators through an in-depth exploration of teacher wellbeing.
Building on TWD’s commitment to fostering an environment and culture where all educators share a common language to discuss wellbeing, Justin and David will present key wellbeing principles and highlight potential pitfalls.
Teacher wellbeing is a shared responsibility between individuals and their workplace. TWD’s goal is to empower both individuals and school leaders to collaborate in enhancing wellbeing outcomes for the school’s most valuable asset! It is recognised that while closely related, actions which promote teacher wellbeing differ from those that prevent teacher illbeing – both of which are crucial.
Participants will delve into TWD’s Wellbeing Quadrant where they will be introduced to specific actions to foster growth in each of the four quadrants. There will also be an opportunity to brainstorm specific actions tailored to their unique contexts. Justin and David will present a selection of possibilities and tangible examples to help teachers and whole-school communities embrace ownership and responsibility for an ongoing commitment to teacher wellbeing.
Takeaway:
Participants will leave with a suite of practical resources to implement in their own schools, including a 45-minute Teacher Wellbeing video and script, a practical template, and a clear 8- step process for developing and leading a Teacher Wellbeing Action Plan. Additionally, they will receive an extensive item bank of over 200 possible action items to mitigate psychological risks in schools.
