After serving as the Vice Principal at TIS for four years, Howard accepted the Head of School position in 2010. In 2002, Howard was a recipient of an Excellence in Teaching Award from Alberta Education and featured in an Innovative Practices Video Series by the University of Lethbridge. In addition to his Master of Education degree, he holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Bachelor of Education. His wife, Doreen, and children, Timothy and Rebecca, are all part of the TIS community.
