Marc Sommerville
Mr. Marc has almost 20 years of teaching experience, half of which has been in international settings in China, Korea, and the Middle East. He has training and experience in teaching EAL, FAL, the Arts, and all other subject areas in primary school settings including Language Arts, Math, Science & Technology, and more. He is an Orff trained music teacher, and he has worked in a variety of special education classes, helping students develop their social-emotional, self-regulation, mindfulness, and academic skills. Mr. Marc is a lifelong learner, committed to ongoing professional development and has almost completed a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology.
Mr. Marc’s unique blend of counselling, coaching, education, and community service reflects his holistic approach to making a positive impact, driven by empathy, dedication, and a genuine desire to help others achieve their fullest potential. His dedication to creating a nurturing environment aligns with his belief in the power of personal transformation and community building.
His vision for the future includes the development of a variety of counselling and psychoeducation programs including Solution and Habitat Immersion Focused Therapy (S.H.I.F.T.), Workplace Relationship Counseling, Surthrival: Learning to Thrive with Neurodivergence, and the use of technology (AI + VR) to facilitate healing and provide greater access to counselling for a wider demographic.
