Julia Kortt is an experienced international educator with over 20 years working in Australia, Switzerland, Shanghai and Hong Kong.

Currently based in Hong Kong she works for the YCYW Education Network. As a Senior Curriculum Officer, she collaboratively drives forward the strategic curriculum direction for 15+ schools in China and Hong Kong. She wrote the Year 1-9 Social Studies curriculum, is the project leader in curriculum mapping, and co-developed the YCYW Service-Learning Framework.

Recently she completed the Master Practitioner in Compassionate Systems Framework with Centre for System Awareness, MIT. Julia is passionate about developing learning experiences for students and teachers so everyone is connected, engaged, motivated and challenged. She lives by what a university lecturer once told her “all children deserve to be loved like they are the most important person on earth.”
