This workshop helps educators design collaborative partnerships—whether cross-curricular, vertical alignment, or community-based—that enhance student engagement through real-world, inquiry-based learning. Participants will explore successful collaboration models and work together to identify opportunities for meaningful partnerships that foster innovation and improve student agency and learning outcomes.
You will use design thinking strategies and processes to build capacity to cultivate positive and collaborative relationships with colleagues while modeling the very behaviors we want to see in our students: respectful communication, problem-solving, and working toward shared goals. These collaborative approaches not only enhance learning outcomes but also develop essential life skills in students—critical thinking, reflection, and the ability to build relationships across grade levels, creating a stronger sense of belonging and community within schools.
Educators/Administrators will leave with a concrete action plan outlining their chosen collaborative focus, as well as potential partners, timelines, and implementation strategies for their classroom or school.
