From a HK$200,000 STEM grant provided by the Hong Kong Education Bureau (EDB) in 2017, I undertook a two-year project for Law Ting Pong Secondary School (LTPSS) in transforming a traditional ICT classroom to a modernised STEM learning space for students. In addition to rigorous planning and processing, there were multiple challenges and obstacles in developing the space particularly through pedagogy, shareholders, school culture and expectations vs reality. The way in which the room has transformed student learning and belonging is also realised. This presentation is an overall story and reflection of the journey; where we began, where we are and where we are heading.
