Teaching physics with Arduino and a smartphone

January 2021

Arduino has became a well known tool for teaching electronics at high school level, as well as a tool for makers and hobbyists.

However an Arduino board has a great potential: using the boards as relatively inexpensive tool to teach STEAM in classroom contexts, as well as an ideal measuring tool to perform engaging experiments with the smartphone.

The Arduino Science Kit used in conjunction with the recently acquired Arduino Science Journal (formerly Google Science Journal) is the perfect solution to store a physics lab in a pocket. During this session we will learn more about Arduino used as a tool for teaching physics to young kids (from 10 y.o.+).
