Science Teaching in a Hybrid Model: The Good, The Bad, and the Huh?

January 2021

In this presentation, I’ll talk about the decision-making and lesson planning in a hybrid model during a pandemic. I’ll tackle questions such as:

-Teachers’ perspectives on how the hybrid model has influenced their planning and instruction?
-Key considerations teachers are making in their planning and instruction and why?
-Examples of how teachers are spending/structuring their class time in this model?
-Advantages/disadvantages of this learning model thus far? In what ways may teachers use their instructional time differently now?
-How is Google Classroom being used as part of/to support this learning model? What are its various functions that support the learning model in place at my school?
