To prepare students for the careers of today — and tomorrow — educators have to explore and integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into K-12 classrooms. In this presentation, the audience will first be introduced to current developments in AI technology such as ChatGPT, which will lead to a reflection on the role of teachers, students, and the goals of school education. The presentation will then explore existing and potential uses of AI in K-12 education, such as Easy Ways Teachers Can Use ChatGPT, Tapping into Student Creativity and Critical Thinking with AI, as well as risks and limitation related to using AI. In the end, some interesting and useful resources about the use of AI in education will be given to everyone.
