Worry is a natural part of life for young and old alike. Rather than aiming to eliminate worry, student wellbeing programs should focus on helping young people ‘worry well’—developing healthy coping strategies and finding ways to move forward.
HAT Wellbeing is an innovative school program that tackles the real worries of young people, inspired by the ten most common concerns of Australian teenagers (based on Mission Australia data). Through bold, captivating imagery and meaningful conversations, it empowers students to navigate their challenges with resilience.
Each HAT includes a HAT Chat (Wellbeing Lesson) filled with flexible, interactive activities, reflections, and discussions. Designed to suit diverse classrooms, these lessons allow teachers to customize the experience based on time, age group, and student needs.
In this engaging, hands-on workshop, educators will explore the power of imagery, empathy, and authentic dialogue to address key well-being issues. Gain tools to ask better questions, listen deeply, and spark impactful conversations that build student resilience—one ‘Thought’ at a time.
