In this History / Social Studies session, participants will be introduced to real-world activities that develop skills in the subject area such as research and investigation, mapping, observation, and historical source/data analysis and evaluation. Activities will include suggestions for addressing racial and social justice. The session will also address approaches to assessment using G Suite tools that help teachers scaffold projects and assignments, helping students to stay organized and manage time. Many core and additional G Suite apps will be highlighted including Google Search, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drawings, My Maps, and Earth Projects. Time permitting, other tools will be introduced, such as Book Creator, Tour Creator, and Sutori.
