Does a Culture of “Niceness” Truly Support Effective Collaboration?

Leadership
This session streamed online on 21 November 2023

A culture of niceness often emphasizes superficial harmony and avoiding conflict, sometimes at the cost of suppressing diverse opinions and hindering genuine collaboration. In contrast, a culture of kindness promotes sincere empathy, open communication, and a supportive environment, fostering authentic relationships and constructive interactions among team members. The session will equip participants with practical strategies for fostering a culture that balances niceness with open communication and healthy conflict resolution. Participants will differentiate between genuine collaboration and a culture that prioritizes niceness at the expense of productive teamwork or the impediment of innovative ideas.
