There are four aims to this session. First, give colleagues an overview of how a digital wallet of micro-credentials is currently changing the landscape of lifelong learner identities in tertiary and professional sectors before exploring how such wallets are beginning to regenerate credentialing in the school sector. Second, offer a scenario of how a digital wallet can evidence more of each learner’s journey through middle and high school than schools currently do today, and exploring how the technology will change learner experiences and pre-tertiary qualifications in the future. Finally, the presentation will highlight current challenges facing the widespread adoption of new credentialing identities and some solutions to them. Time will be set aside for some group discussion of the ideas shared in the session.
