The presentation will seek to understand why current schooling is fundamentally flawed and what schools can be doing instead to prepare students for the 21st Century. Through “Deep learning”, ICHK has undertaken to change the paradigm and break down the traditional structure of the timetable and the subjects contained within it. Learn about how we use an interdisciplinary approach combining subjects into an overarching theme to engage students in learning that is context driven, adapted to the circumstances and the environment of our community. We will share our school’s journey: why we believe it was important to change the model and how we implemented an innovative programme of learning.
