Culture is the story shared within a community. It’s the common values we hold and the goals we hope to achieve. This session will encourage participants to reflect on the professional learning culture of their school community and explore how to transform it into a culture of open doors – a culture based on meaningful collaboration and connection.
Participants will engage in a guided exploration of tools, strategies, and resources to support professional learning, which is personalized, purposeful, and truly impactful. Through reflection and discussion, participants will have an opportunity to tweak these resources to design a sustainable professional learning framework that empowers staff, builds teacher capacity, and aligns with your school’s mission and values.
Session Outcomes:
- Participants will align professional learning with their school’s mission and values;
- Participants will explore a range of professional development options and identify which opportunities will best support their own school community and context;
- Participants will understand how to leverage techniques and strategies to foster trust and collaboration among their staff;
- Participants will have a deeper understanding of how to evaluate the effectiveness and measure the impact of professional learning;
- Participants will leave the session with an action plan to cultivate a professional learning culture that values teacher growth, builds efficacy, and inspires student success.
