Most international schools are engaging in some form of innovative practice. Whether it’s the exploration of agile spaces, social entrepreneurship, digital pedagogies, contemporary transcripts or even ‘school-within-a-school’ models, more and more are embracing the compelling case for change.
However, what happens to those ideas or innovations that lie outside the realm of our personal experience or interest? Those that haven’t been tested before? Those that aren’t valued by key decision makers? Those of the quiet and more humble within our organisations? How do we strategically embrace innovation so all ideas have the opportunity to be heard and scaled if potentially impactful?
Idea management provides a strategic way to be truly inclusive and crowdsource ideas from across all facets of your organisation. It provides a continual pipeline of innovations, that are aligned to institutional goals and assessed by those who matter most; the community. This session will explore the practicalities of how International Schools Services has begun to strategically embrace idea management within both its business operations and managed schools.
