Are you looking at taking your Technology in Art classes to the next level this year? Blender is an amazing 3D modeling and animation software that is beginning to hold a place in the animation and game design industry. Blender is powerful. One reason is that it’s totally open-source, which makes it a perfect program for the art room.
With Blender, students can realistically sculpt and render 3D objects for virtual spaces or to export designs to 3D printers. They can also make quick prototypes and avatars, rig and animate original characters, edit videos, and create original video game characters. The sky’s the limit with this program. It’s kind of a head-scratcher that it’s free!
During our time together, I will share a brief demonstration of the software and provide you with all my packaged resources so you can start your own 3D Modeling and Animation course, A to Z.
Come and see how you can quadruple an art program, where students will be begging to get into your class to create!
Let’s get to creating with www.blender.org!
P.s. Check out “Next Gen”, a Netflix original 3D animated movie created with the Blender software.
