Join a cohort of international school educators as we delve deep into elements of Educational Technology Leadership.
Over the course of 3 months, the cohort will read/view seminal works (articles, books, videos, etc.) focused on the current issues in international education, educational technology, and leadership. Cohort members will engage with the material through online discussions, forums, and reflections on learning.
Cohort members will also get the opportunity for live discussion and exchange through webinars held in April, May, and June, 2017. During these webinars, experts from the field and guest facilitators will present and hold discussions related to topics in the course materials. These engaging webinars will give participants to connect with industry leaders and explore topics at deeper and more personal level. Webinars will include live presentations and discussions, back-channel conversations, and archived recording.
Participants who complete the course will receive a certificate of completion.
About the Presenter
Matt Harris, Ed.D. has worked as an educational leader, teacher, instructional technologist, author, presenter and researcher for nearly 15 years. He has taught at all grade levels from preschool to graduate school as an ICT and mathematics teacher. He has worked as a senior administrator at independent schools and universities in North America and Asia. He works as an educational consultant for schools and Ministries of Education in the Middle East, Africa, North America, and Asia. Dr. Harris is a frequent conference speaker and author focusing on educational topics from educational technology integration and information literacy to professional development and change management. He curates and adds to the body of educational technology sources that help teachers use tools for enhanced teaching and learning. His research interests lie in the design and implementation of staff development, educational leadership, and instructional programs that focus on improving student learning through resource allocation and usage. Currently, Dr. Harris serves as the Chair-elect of the Board of Directors for the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE).
