Each year, BVSD’s graduates are awarded millions of dollars in scholarships and score well above the state and national averages on the ACT and SAT college entrance exams.
Innovative Project
Boulder Valley taxpayers passed a $576 million dollar bond in 2014. While the majority of those funds were set aside to repair and maintain safe, healthy, and comfortable buildings for students, another focus of the Bond Program was to create learning environments that support bold new innovative instruction. We have defined our Innovative Instructional beliefs through the establishment of our Innovation Guiding Principles. We believe that all students should have the opportunity to learn in the ways that best meet their unique learning needs. In order to do this, we are re-thinking not only our instructional practice, but also considering how we can design schools to maximize learning spaces to meet the different techniques students use to learn. Our goal is to have innovative learning environments that are multi-functional and can be quickly converted into different types of learning spaces depending on the learning needs of the students in the moment – flexible, adaptable, and mobile.
