Head of Department (Info Technology and Communication), Pioneer Primary School

I’m trained as a mathematics and science teacher, but I believe I’m really practising the craft of teaching children – whole human beings who learn best when they understand themselves, connect with others, and engage authentically with the world around them. Real learning, I’ve found, happens far beyond pen and paper.

My work focuses on creating experiences where students learn with technology, engage in hands-on activities with plenty of room for children to explore and experiment, apply their learning, make mistakes and improvements, and most importantly, collaborate to build knowledge together. What really drives me is empowering learners to actively constructing their understanding rather than receiving information passively.

When students work together on real problems – whether they’re building solutions, investigating their surrounding environment, or tackling challenges that matter to them – that’s when the magic happens. That’s when they develop not just knowledge, but the confidence and skills to engage meaningfully with an uncertain world.
