Sebastian Ghofranifar is a bilingual History and English teacher and the Coordinator for Digital Teaching Development at German Swiss International School (GSIS) Hong Kong, tasked with driving digital school development, advising colleagues, and coordinating the use of digital media across the curriculum.

His focus spans digital teaching development; learning with, about, through, and despite AI; AI’s role in civic and democratic education; assessment design in an AI-shaped classroom; and in-house best-practice sharing and staff professional development. He leads the rollout of GSIS’s AI literacy framework and competency model, including the school’s student-facing AI Driving License. He is driven by the belief that students need not just the right tools, but the critical mindset to use them well.
