Phavana Silva

Phavana is a passionate educator in her eighth year as the MYP Coordinator at Chatsworth International School, Singapore. In addition to teaching English language and literature and Humanities, her role involves pedagogical leadership, curriculum development, teacher professional development, parent education and implementation of all aspects of the IB MYP program. Previously she was the Director of Curriculum at Chadwick International School, Korea, and the Director of Secondary Curriculum and Principal at Island Pacific Academy, Hawaii. Her professional interests include growth mindset in learning, the adolescent brain, 21st century skills, concept-based inquiry, and multicultural competencies.
