As the the Head of Department for 21st Century Competencies, Melissa is responsible for driving the integration of 21CC across the curriculum. She spearheads various programmes such as the Applied Learning Programme (ALP), which leverages design thinking, and the SOAR programme, aimed at strengthening learners in thinking and communication. Beyond programmes, she collaborates with departments and educators to design learning spaces and experiences that foster student agency, collaboration, adaptability and a passion for learning. She committed to empowering teachers to cultivate a positive student-centred learning culture while preparing students to thrive in a fast-changing world.
