Lisa Ouazzani
Lisa Ouazzani is an international middle school educator and emerging school leader with over 20 years of leadership experience across business and education. She currently teaches Entrepreneurship, Service Learning, and Introduction to Business at the American International School – Riyadh, where she also serves as Grade 7 Team Lead. Her work focuses on inquiry-driven, real-world learning that helps students develop transferable skills such as critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and resilience.
Drawing on her background in business leadership and an MBA in Operations Management, Lisa designs learning experiences that connect classroom learning to authentic problems and student agency. She is particularly passionate about cultivating entrepreneurial mindsets in middle school students, not as preparation for a single career path, but as a foundation for success across disciplines including business, technology, the arts, and beyond. Her classroom practice integrates inquiry, design thinking, teamwork, and reflection to help students identify needs, propose solutions, and learn through iteration.
Lisa is the founder and director of the AIS-R Entrepreneurship Pitch Challenge, a school-wide initiative for middle and high school students that provides opportunities to pitch innovative ideas and receive mentorship from regional and global entrepreneurs. She is deeply interested in how schools can intentionally embed entrepreneurial thinking to empower students to lead, adapt, and thrive in an uncertain world.
