Lainey Gangwani is an upper primary teacher at Hong Kong International School and the founder of Equity Rising, an initiative focused on helping educators and families recognize how gender stereotypes shape children’s identities, choices, confidence, and sense of possibility.

Her work brings together developmental research, classroom inquiry, and practical strategies for schools. Through audits of learning materials, participation, leadership, play spaces, adult language, and representation, she examines the everyday messages children receive about who leads, who belongs, who is capable, and whose stories matter.
