Joanne Ward, Ed.D., is a mathematics educator in Taipei, Taiwan, a National Board Certified Teacher, and an Amplify Classroom Fellow. She has taught mathematics across middle, and high school levels and works with learners across a wide range of mathematical experiences.

Her professional work explores mathematical problem solving, culturally responsive pedagogy, educational technology, storytelling, and service learning. She is particularly interested in designing mathematically rigorous experiences that help students connect mathematics with their identities, communities, and the wider world.

Joanne has presented mathematics education workshops at national and regional professional conferences in the United States and collaborates with educators to develop classroom practices that support meaningful mathematical engagement.
