Emily Clark is an educational researcher and Psychology teacher (and enthusiast). Her educational research interests include global citizenship education, psychology education in schools, and social and emotional wellbeing (for both staff and students). Emily has two publications from her Masters degree from the University of Melbourne on Global Citizenship education in schools, and has presented as both teacher and researcher at the CDES and AARE educational conferences in Australia. Emily has also been Project Officer for Dr. Glenn Savage’s DECRA Project ‘National school reform and the reshaping of Australian federalism’ and research assistant to Professor Fazal Rizvi during his project ‘Investigating the Australian Diaspora’.

Emily’s work in both national and international educational systems and governments has led to a keen interest in policy work and their outcomes in schools. In particular, given the continually evolving and rapidly shifting policy scapes brought about by the global Coronavirus pandemic, Emily is interested in investigating: How do schools work in times of crisis? What effect does reactivity at the leadership level have at the student, staff, and broader school level? And, importantly, how can school leadership implement successful proactive policies and processes in the face of uncertain futures?
