Coaching tools for developing agency, resilience, and human flourishing in schools.
You already know what good professional conversations look like. You might be able to describe a coaching approach, and explain exactly what you would do differently next time. And then Monday arrives.
The advice gets given. The conversation ends before the other person’s thinking has had a chance to move. And you leave wondering why, again, it didn’t go the way you intended. This session is about that gap. Not the gap in your skills or your knowledge. The gap between knowing and actually being different in the room.
You will not receive another framework to file away. You will experience personally, practically, and immediately what it takes to show up differently in the professional conversations that matter most. You will work with a real challenge you are currently carrying, have a coaching conversation and leave with three questions that work in two minutes or twenty, in a corridor, before a meeting, in the middle of a difficult week.
This session draws on the OECD’s most current thinking on human flourishing in education, systems thinking from MIT, and years of coaching practice in schools. It is grounded in research and built for the reality of Tuesday mornings. It is designed for classroom teachers and school leaders equally. You do not need to know anything about coaching to attend. You just need to care about the quality of your professional relationships, and to have felt, at least once, the distance between what you know and what you actually do. Come ready to be honest. Leave ready to begin.
