The AI Elementary Classroom – Utilising AI Together with Your Students

Education Technology Literacy & New Media
March 2024 - 21CLHK

As we see the ever-expanding world of technology flow into the classroom, more and more resources are being made available to teachers. The hot-topic? Utilising AI to help teachers lessen their burden in the behind the scenes of teaching. However, there is a critical gap missing, how do we bring attention to AI for our students? They are interacting in a world of information we haven’t seen before. This presentation looks at how we can help students engage with AI appropriately through modeling and guidance within our daily lessons. This session looks at how starting as young as upper-elementary, teachers can bring AI into their classroom setting, encouraging appropriate student engagement and use of AI within their academic career.
