Book Creator is widely used in international schools, but this session shows how AI can take it far beyond its familiar uses. Joe Dale will demonstrate how to combine Book Creator’s built-in AI features (dictation, closed captions, transcription) with third-party AI tools that can be imported into projects.
The session begins with text workflows (ChatGPT for stories, dialogues, and poems). Teachers will then see how to generate cartoon characters, remove backgrounds with Remove.bg, and sketch with Autodraw to create bespoke visual assets. These can be embedded into Book Creator and combined with speech bubbles and invisible audio icons to make personalised narrated photo stories.
Accessibility is a key theme: using Book Creator’s inbuilt dictation, transcription, and closed captioning tools, teachers can support bilingual learners and those with additional needs. Finally, the session explores how to bring projects alive with immersive media adding music/audio from Suno and 360° cultural scenes from Blockade Labs.
By the end of the session, participants will leave with a toolkit of new workflows that show how AI can transform Book Creator into a hub for creativity, storytelling, and accessibility.
Note: Participants are asked to bring laptops or tablets for hands-on work.
