Sharing 13 years of experience coordinating author visits, I’ll share the process from start to finish. I want attendees to walk away knowing author visits need not blow the budget, and with a list of organizations they can reach out to about securing someone suitable. Discussing the benefits for all members of the community, I’ll share anecdotes from teachers, students, parents and the authors about what makes having an actual published author or illustrator present at a school so important.
