From Reactive to Proactive: Using Universal Screeners to Support Student Wellbeing

March 2027 - 21CLHK

Social-emotional screening is only valuable when the data leads to action. This session will guide school counselors, administrators, and student support teams through the process of selecting and implementing SEL screeners, including tools such as SAEBRS, DESSA, SEARS, and student wellness surveys. Participants will learn how to interpret results through an MTSS framework, and translate data into targeted classroom instruction, small-group interventions, and individual supports. Participants will leave with a framework for moving from screening to instruction, helping schools build a data-informed approach to student well-being, engagement, and success.
