The presentation explores how diversity, equity and inclusion can be meaningfully embedded across science and humanities teaching. It introduces four lenses—representation, access, relevance and assessment equity—to help teachers identify bias, question whose knowledge and perspectives are prioritised, and remove barriers to learning.

Participants will audit an existing lesson or unit, considering who may feel excluded, what assumptions are being made and which voices or contexts are missing. They will then redesign one manageable element, such as broadening a scientific or historical narrative, adapting a context, rewriting a learning objective or making an assessment more accessible.

The session concludes with three commitments: one change to trial, one practice to stop and one question to continue exploring.
