After two years since it exploded on the scene, there can’t be many teachers left who haven’t dabbled with or dove right into using generative AI in the classroom. AI is increasingly shaping how we teach, how students learn, and how assessment is conducted. The question is not whether to use AI, but rather, how to use it well.
This accessible presentation will look at ways that generative AI shouldn’t be used in the English classroom while also offering antidotes to these misuses. Relevant to both novice and experienced users of AI (even in other subject areas), you should come away more empowered to use this transformative technology.
